I just received this message from Rick Smitherman:
“She is out and it went as planned. The surgeon decided to leave her asleep tonight with the ventilator tube in, until tomorrow, since she ate breakfast – to be sure she stays stable and doesn’t swallow any food down her airway. He also said that now her brain can start healing without causing any more damage.”
