Hello Ministry Partners,

Updates on the website have been few and far between. I can’t seem to remember to ask folks if it’s ok to post about them publicly. I will try to do better in that area.

I recently took a sabbatical from the ministry work and had a time of rest, refocus and planning. Here are a few things that have happened since that time:

  1. With help from Donna, I realized that I have been calling Spring Creek Ministries my ministry. I want to make it clear that this is God’s ministry, not mine. We are just vessels used to get things done. I will try to refer to this as HIS ministry from now on.

  1. My focus had changed from helping people first to raising funds for survival. I realized that this was backwards and am trying to resolve the issue.

  1. I will be setting up as many seminars as possible this year. This seminar is called. “What to say, when you don’t know what to say!” This is merely a format to reach more people and help them be more comfortable ministering to folks with long term and terminal illnesses.

Note: This seminar only takes about 45 minutes to an hour and is free of charge. I will teach it at any church, business or civic organization that is interested. If I am traveling out of town, I’ll ask for minimal travel expenses. Please feel free to contact me if you have any interest in this!

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up soon. It is called “Giving Tuesday”.

Last year our goal was $15,000, with your help and generosity we raised around $18,000! Thank you so much! This year our goal is $20,000 and I am excited to see how God will bless this endeavor!   We will be mailing out postcards with the pertinent information very soon. Please join us in making this a huge success!

I recently went on a road trip. I left October 5th and returned on October 19th. This trip took me to Austin, Waco, Montgomery, League City, Kerrville and Medina, TX. In all, we were able to minister to eleven people, raise some funds, meet some wonderful people and renew old friendships! It was amazing to see how the Lord kept me one step ahead of the flooding during the last week! A special that you to my wife, Donna, who took care of things at home and made local visits all while working her day job and taking care of her dad!

We are ever thankful for every one of you! Your prayer support and contributions keep this ministry going and allow us to touch many lives!

Blessings and Grace,

Lonnie
