“Today wasn’t at all what we were hoping for. Her white count is still elevated. Chest X-ray was bad. Aspiration pneumonia is worse. Her lungs are full of fluid. Started Lasix. Output is good though. Will repeat chest X-ray tomorrow. Her leg is still swollen but not as bad as it was on Friday. Still on antibiotics and TPN feeding. Back to NPO. Echo was ordered but results are still pending. BP elevated. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure today.She was awake today but not able to speak. We will have a new hospitalist tomorrow.”
