Jane Burton
From David Burton:

“Dad is struggling with some Chemo issues (pain in left hip, leg and

toes), but he is still hanging in there. On Monday, he will begin his

final round of Chemo. With stage 4 liver cancer, he was supposed to be

showing signs by now (yellowing of eyes, loss of appetite, pain in

liver area, etc), but thus far, nothing is showing up and he still

looks great. Praying he can defy the odds, but he’s ready to go home

anytime and doesn’t worry about it. His major concern is wanting to be

there for his sweet wife.

Speaking of Jane, they moved Mom to Parks (Room 414). We are trying to

get her home, but when Medicare ran out at Encompass, she still wasn’t

strong enough. She’s in skilled nursing at Parks, and we’d all

appreciate prayers that Mom will work Dad is struggling with some Chemo issues (pain in left hip, leg and

appreciate prayers that Mom will work hard in therapy and improve her

functional strength so she can be home again. As with others in our

congregation, it’s tough on the families when you can’t be with them,

hold their hand, and provide comfort in person. Phone calls are great,

but it’s hard to replicate that human touch and simple proximity.

Our family appreciates all the prayers and cards. “
