Update on Steve from Shiela’s post:
“Sunday was day 9 of Steve being in Austin Hospital.Steve slept on and off most of the day. When he was awake we had some heart to heart long talks. Bless his heart he’s so tired, he says he’s tired and doesn’t want to do this anymore. I told him we’ve come too far to quit now. At about 3am he had another dialysis treatment and they removed another 6 lbs of fluid.”
“Monday night day 10. Steve was in better spirits today. Another 6 lbs taken off. Wound care came today and the foot looked somewhat better. Still not sure the foot can be saved. Dr. says one thing at a time, let’s work on fixing the heart , then we’ll concentrate on the foot. The heart surgeon is very optimistic about the surgery. Now that they have good blood flow to his right leg they are going to try and go through the groin. Surgery’s at 7 in the morning.”
