This life is such a roller coaster…
They adjusted Kylie’s vent settings yesterday to a higher setting and she was doing well for a few hours. Less retractions and she seemed more comfortable, and so happy
This morning on the new vent settings, she is working harder to breathe despite the breathing steroids and new changes.
They have to adjust the vent settings again and go to even higher support.
Her vent settings is really concerning and that she is requiring new settings everyday.
It’s very concerning that the rejection seems to be affecting her breathing this fast.
We will continue to adjust and watch her blood gases.
The transplant team will meet and discuss next steps this week and they retested her antibodies today.
They are not too concerned about the “slowing” that showed up on the EEG because the rejection medication can cause this. They will get the MRI sometime this week once we can figure out her respiratory issues. That is the main concern.
Please please pray that her respiratory issues slow down.
As always, we love you all so much.
