I wanted to do a quick update. I don’t want anyone to worry.
Kylie is out of surgery and has been experiencing a lot of pain. She has a chest tube and is currently on the ventilator.
They have given her a lot of morphine and I requested a nerve blocker around the chest tube hoping that would help ease some of the pain. It broke me seeing her in so much pain.
They were able to place it but as of now I haven’t seen any improvement in her pain. She is very fussy and understandably not in a great mood.
They went in from the left side of her back. They were able to see enough without opening her up too much so that’s a plus.
Unfortunately our transplant doctor isn’t on this week. He is amazing at answering all my questions and letting me know what all was seen when they opened her up.
I really wish he was here but he deserves a vacation.
So the doctor that is on told me very little except that she will have results by the end of the week. That’s about all I got out of her.
So for now we wait and try to keep Kylie comfortable.
I was hoping to respond to some comments while Kylie was knocked out from the morphine, however my
Velcro baby has decided to fight sleep to make sure I don’t leave her sight.
I really want you all to know how much you all mean to me and how much I appreciate all the prayers and support.
Please pray Kylie can get some good sleep tonight and that she doesn’t feel any pain.
We love you all so much.
