Children’s National has ran every test possible to rule out everything. The infectious Disease team has also been trying to help figure out what is wrong with Kylie.
Texas was hoping that something simple was missed before flying Kylie down to Texas.
The last test will be done in the next two days. Kylie will be going under for a bronchoscopy.
The transplant team here at Children’s National will take tissue from the lungs and test it.
The only other “simple” thing that could possibly be causing her oxygen problems is a fungal infection.
As crazy as it sounds I am praying that it is something fungal. I’m praying hard because if it is not that then the only thing it could be is rejection related.
Thinking about that makes my stomach hurt from anxiety.
Let me tell yall though, miss Kylie is NOT making the doctors and nurses lives easy. She has developed this attitude that when any of them touch her, she slaps their hands!
She will only tolerate her dad or I touching her.
She is such a sassy little thing. Once this is over we are going to have to work on manners!
Please pray for Kylie and that this is something simple that DC can fix.
**pictured below is Kylie showing everyone her new trick.
Next is walking! — at Children’s National Medical Center.
