Update on Kylie, from Ashley:
“Kylie is still requiring oxygen to keep her sats up. At one point she dropped to 69 and it was very scary. Luckily as soon as we got home our DME company set us up with oxygen equipment.
The CT scan came back stable from the last scan done. Still showing inflammation (from chronic rejection) but it is not worse and I praise God for that.
It is believed that the chemo medication caused the adenovirus to flare up again and it’s causing breathing difficulties.
They are ordering a sleep study on Kylie. If it’s not the virus causing this then it could possibly mean her airway is collapsing when she is sleeping and making it difficult to keep her sats up.
Which would mean an airway reconstruction surgery.
The results from the AMR (antibody rejection) came back and the numbers have not improved even after the chemo medication, but it has remained stable ( at least it’s not getting worse).”
