“Steve UPDATE: I know I’ve been slow on the updates! Sorry! While progress has been slow, it has been progress and things are looking up! Steve was transferred yesterday from Abilene to a rehab here in San Angelo. This is a huge step forward! From Trauma ICU to Critical Care in Lubbock; from there to a Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Abilene and now to rehab in San Angelo! ICU and Critical Care were aimed at saving his life (Success!) LTACH was focused on getting him breathing on his own and off the ventilator (Success!) Rehab will be aimed at getting him on his feet and mobile; the goal to get him back to where he was “BA” (before the accident!)

I went to see Steve today and he is looking so good! His trach hole is almost healed completely. He still has lots of therapy ahead of him, as well as more work to be done on his left hand. He was in great spirits and we visited for over an hour!
