We just received some devastating news… my heart is breaking while typing this.
As you know from yesterday’s update, Kylie has antibodies attacking her lungs.
If you remember back in January when Kylie was vomiting non stop they thought she may be in a very dangerous type of rejection. She was medflighted to Texas and the biopsy showed she was not in rejection.
Well, that type of rejection they feared back in January has shown its ugly head. But for real this time.
We have to get Kylie to Houston ASAP.
Kylie will have to go into surgery and have her chest cut open to have her lungs looked at.
Because of the bad numbers on her recent labs they do not trust a scope or camera.
They want to start Kylie on a treatment plan immediately. There is so much that is unknown right now and I’m shaking from fear. The only good thing we can take from this right now is that she is not currently showing any signs of rejection. That is a sign that it was caught early.
We are waiting on the call from the pediatric surgeon for the date of the surgery. As soon as I know more I will update.
