I met David’s son, Ryder, at lake Ivie earlier this week. While visiting, I found out about David’s ALS. Hopefully I’ll be heading over to meet him in person really soon!
This is what Ryder shared with me:
“Dad developed a weakness in his arms after a neck surgery in January of 2022 after going to many doctors, for an answer, he was finally diagnosed with ALS in July of 2023. He now has little to no ability to use his arms. He still goes to town every day and continues to fight the disease and keep a positive attitude.”
