From Ashley:
Nonverbal Autism- When words aren’t possible, worship still is.
My son is nonverbal and autistic. He may not communicate the way most of us do, but moments like this remind me that communication with God isn’t limited by spoken words.
In this photo, he’s lifting his hands in worship to Jesus.
It stopped me in my tracks because it reminded me of something so beautiful: God doesn’t measure our prayers by how well we speak. He sees every heart, every gesture, every act of worship. He knows what words never could express.
Watching my son worship Jesus in his own way is one of the purest, most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed. It’s a reminder that God’s love reaches every heart, and worship is a language that goes far beyond words.
Autism can be incredibly beautiful if we’re willing to slow down and see the world through a different lens. The beauty is there; in the quiet moments, the genuine joy, the unconditional love, and the faith that doesn’t need words to be real.
“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel
I’m sorry that I have been so quiet lately. Losing Kylie has wrecked my whole world and I’m trying so hard to learn how to navigate our new normal. I’ll be honest, I’m struggling. My heart feels forever shattered. Please continue to pray for us.
I’ll be sharing some big news (a few things) with you all very soon! One being, we have information on who Kylie saved with her organ
donation.
As always, we love you all so much.
