Today has been extremely long.
Since we took Kylie off of the steroids, her lungs have not been happy.
They are so inflamed that she is not moving good air from the ventilator.
It got pretty bad. The carbon dioxide in her blood rose into the 100s.
She desperately needed to move air better and open her lungs up. She needed the steroids.
So we talked with our team and we decided to go ahead and give the steroid knowing there was a chance it could make the adenovirus go crazy and have a worse effect on her.
Kylie is paralyzed to help her body rest more and the ventilator work for her.
Now we wait to see if the steroids work.
Her Co2 has dropped slowly today and is in the 70s right now. We desperately need this to get back into normal range.
She is on a lot of medication to help keep her stable.
Our team has been absolute angels today and I’m so grateful for them. Today I saw how much they truly love Kylie. We were all so scared together and hugging each other.
We all love Kylie so much and want the best for her. Please believe that and be kind with your comments.
This is a very tight rope we are walking right now. If this doesn’t work then we will have to have some hard decisions. The next 24 hours will tell us everything. But it WILL WORK. IN JESUS NAME!
God is working and I know He is working on Kylie’s miracle right now. Kylie will be healed and in a way that everyone will know it was only God.
God is good always.
