Kylie received her final treatment yesterday. She handled it well. Now, we will wait two weeks and retest to see if the treatment was affective (in Jesus Name it was!).
I will be leaving tomorrow to fly back to Virginia and drive the rest of our belongs down to Texas.
Not sure if y’all remember but when they were doing Kylie’s evaluation to be placed on the transplant list over two years ago, they wanted to get a full DNA work up of her, so they asked that me and my husband get our full DNA work up done along with Kylie.
It came back that I had a rare heart condition (Titan something?) so I need to meet with my doctor one more time before I find a doctor in Texas.
With the heart condition, it can cause your heart to “rupture” (that’s how it was explained to me ), this is the main reason I started my weight loss journey two years ago and I have officially lost 150 pounds!
McKenzie will be starting her new school on Monday and she is very unhappy about it, so I ask that you say a prayer for her and her anxiety.
If everything goes well, then Kylie will be discharged on Monday. I am so excited to have her come home. It’s time for her to get back to being a normal toddler.
Kylie’s two year lung transplant anniversary is this Friday and I want to do something small for her. I know this is last minute, but if anyone knows anyone that will do a lung cake this week in the Houston area, then I would really appreciate the recommendation.
As always, I love you all so very much and I am so thankful for each of you.
