Update on Kylie:
Kylie started her second treatment to slow down the rejection of her lungs early this morning.
She is already throwing up and not feeling too great. I hate seeing her so sick but I know this chemotherapy drug is our last hope of slowing down the rejection.
This treatment is harder on her little body because of her age and size.
Kylie has gone back to needing oxygen today while awake. Not sure if it’s from the treatment but we will be monitoring closely.
After today, we will wait a few days and then run tests to see if the treatment worked. If the antibodies attacking the lungs are still strong then she will do this treatment two more times. They will not do it more than 4 times (today is the second time).
Again, I want to thank everyone for all the love and support.
The gifts sent from the wishlist to my kids will truly help make this transition easier on them. I can’t express how much that means to me.
Caden is three years old and hopefully will not have as hard of a time adjusting.
I’m worried about McKenzie though. Anytime I try to discuss moving she gets upset and says she doesn’t want to leave her friends. It’s taken her so long to find a group of friends so it breaks my heart to see her have to leave them.
The past two years have been so hard on her and I just want to give her stability.
Please, continue to pray for Kylie and that this treatment works. Also, please say a prayer for McKenzie.
As always, we love you all so much
