Kaiden is between the same as yesterday but worse in certain areas.
Lungs- still full of fluid. Some say xray looks a tiny better but others say it looks the same.
Kidneys- might be trying to wake up now slowly. He has a tiny bit more urine.
Heart- left side is squeezing better than yesterday but still severe damage. We were able to turn off the Norepinephrine medication for blood pressure and go down on the Epinephrine and he is holding his pressures nicely.
Liver- just isn’t happy with everything going on. Labs are elevated. Going to get an ultrasound
Body overall- Started TPN and Lipids to get him some nutrients plus his sugar keeps dropping and we don’t want to keep giving him sugar bouleses. They are concerned about his left leg. There’s not great blood flow so maybe a clot. Plastic surgeon and vascular Drs suggest we start with trying to warm his legs to help open his blood vessels so we are watching that closely. We are skipping plasma exchange today but he will receive a treatment tomorrow. The last culture they did shows NO bacteria growth so that’s great. Antibiotics are working.
His team is amazing, his nurses are amazing. They talk to him and love on him all day. Dad has been reading to Kaiden his favorite Dragon book and I read some of the comments and prayers we have received. We talk to him and let him know that he has so many people in his corner praying. He has touched the hearts of many around the world.
So please keep praying for complete healing over Kaidens body. He still has a long fight to fight but we will continue to celebrate the joy even if it’s a tiny joy. We love you guys!
