12/5 Update on Daniel Gould, from his mother:
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful” Hebrews 10:23
We have hoped and prayed for and over Daniel since he first got diagnosed with this rare disease back in May. Our little warrior has had to endure so much more than I would have ever imagined. It has been a hard few months of waiting, worrying, and praying his bone marrow transplant would work.
Today was a day of answered prayers. We get to celebrate and thank God for protecting our boy. After 104 days Daniels CVL has finally been removed! We were able to do this because his body is FINALLY making its own red blood cells. We had eagerly drawn his blood multiple times a week to be disappointed that it “wasn’t working” but “should soon”. Today we get to celebrate that his bone marrow is now working to make ALL his blood cells!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for him and us. Who has sent meals, gift cards, toys and picked up and watched our other kiddos. We could not have made it without all your encouragement and love. We are not out of the woods yet but we can see the light!
