This post is from Ashly Gould, about Daniel, 4 days ago (my apologies):
This Christmas season looked a little different this year for our family. No holiday parties, Gaylord on ice, or mall Santa’s. Most the shopping was done online (which would have happened either way to be honest
) but we did our very best to stay away from the people, the crowds and dreaded winter colds. But it happened to still catch us.

Daniel ran a 102 fever on Christmas Eve so we rushed up to Cooks to do all the tests necessary for a post transplant kiddo with a fever over 100. Thankfully it wasn’t bacterial and all his blood counts still looked good
. It also wasn’t one of the typical “testable” common virus’s so we were able to go home after some IV antibiotics and monitor at home.

We were so thankful to get to go home to wrap last minute gifts and open them all together Christmas morning! Daniel is still not feeling great but was able to muster the energy to open all his presents lol
We praise God in all things little and big. Especially for the nurses and doctors working during the holidays to provide the best care for our babies. We are rejoicing in our saviors birth today. And making a list of the things we get to do next year!
Merry Christmas!!!
