Lonnie, Words can’t express all I feel. You guys touched us/my family deeply. The singing was so uplifting for Tracy and us! The blanket was on her as she went home and won her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The pink flowers/roses were a lovely tribute to her. My family expresses our deepest gratitude and may God continue to bless others thru you!

Lonnie Hamil is a compassionate sincere Christian man!  When my father-in-law was dying with cancer, Lonnie’s support was awesome.  He was always there when my family needed someone to listen, to counsel or to pray.  Thank you, Lonnie, for your support!  You might say “Oh, it was nothing” but, it meant everything to us!

Thank you, again!

Lonnie & Donna,
There aren’t enough words to express how much you both mean to us, and our entire family. And your visit with us, Lonnie, at Jeff and Celia’s house, after dad went home to be with mom. We wish you both the best of God’s blessings in your ministry for Him! You truly have “servants hearts”, and it shows every time you minister to others, like us, in ways you may never realize. Hope you don’t think it’s silly to mention this little story, but when mom passed away 7 years ago, you asked, “in typical Lonnie fashion”,  “What can I do?” So you helped me change the sheets on mom & dad’s bed! That “little” act of kindness, among many others, wasn’t “little” at all! And it warmed my heart – I know you cared. And that’s who you both are – – people who love God and others! Thank you for your love and friendship!!
Love,

Lonnie,  I wanted to thank you for all the many times you’ve reached out to me to offer help (and to have helped!)  I was so impressed this morning when you called to check and see if I made it home alright last night!  That was so thoughtful – and SO like you to take the time in the middle of an especially busy time of your life (having thousands of things to do right now) to take the time to carry out what is so often (for me) a “good intention,” which I so often let fall by the wayside while doing other things!

You’re so special to so many people and I know you’ll do well with your new plans.

Love, Anita Elms

Dear Donna & Lonnie,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything… your visits, cards, your beautiful singing up at Bob’s office and at the hospital and your many prayers during Bob’s illness. The flowers you sent were gorgeous! My gratitude for all you have done is endless. God bless you both!

My son, David Lee Watkins III, was removed from life support this morning at 10:30 AM. As a healthy 26 year old, we made the decision to bring in “LifeGift” and donate all organs for the benefit of saving or improving someone’s quality of life. Can you imagine that, right now, someone is getting a call that simply says “We have found an organ for your transplant”. What Joy. I support Spring Creek Ministries and never understood the depth of service they provide to families of the terminally ill. They were by my side during this time and took care of so many things for me so that I could focus on David, to quickly learn and understand his circumstance, care and get wise counsel on David’s behalf.

Thank you so much for spending the day of Deidra’s  with us. From warm blankets to thoughtful prayers it meant the world to us.

To Whom It May Concern:

We are writing to give our highest recommendation of Mr. Lonnie Hamil.

Lonnie is a person of impeccable character and integrity, a true servant of God, whose main goal in life is to minister to hurting people. He truly has the heart of a pastor, teacher, and counselor – and always makes a positive difference in the lives of the people with whom he comes in contact.

He has demonstrated his love and friendship to our family in so many ways over the years we have known him… more ways than we can count. My husband and I got to know him even better during the sad and painful circumstances of my late mother’s (Allene Bowen) last few months of life (in Odessa, Texas). Mom’s fourth bout with cancer began last October, and in spite of much prayer, treatment, and high hopes for a complete recovery, she became hospitalized in March of this year and was then sent home to live out her final days. I honestly don’t think I could have borne up under the stress of watching my Mom in pain without Lonnie’s love and friendship. He was there EVERY time we asked for him, and many times, he just simply “showed up” – just because he loved my mom and wanted to be there for her. He was such a comfort to her and to us in those last few precious weeks. From just loving us, praying with us, counseling us about what might lie ahead in her desperate situation, and even helping with household chores – Lonnie was there. He became the pipeline for the love of God to flow to our family.

Mom finally went to be with her Lord at home on the morning of May 30, 2011, as my Dad and I held her in our arms. This is the most painful loss my family and I have ever felt. But again, the days following her death were made so much more bearable because of Lonnie and Donna’s presence in our home to love us and to laugh and cry with us over so many fond memories of my mother. Mom always looked upon Lonnie as one of her own sons. And, indeed, he became like a brother to me, as well. As the family requested, Lonnie held the most beautiful “home-going” service for my mother, one that touched of us in so may special ways.

There aren’t enough words to describe how we feel about this wonderful man of God – our friend forever – Lonnie Hamil. We know he will continue to impact his world for Jesus and pray that God will bless his efforts to help hurting people everywhere.

Sincerely,

Nancy & Gene Nowak

Dear Lonnie and Donna,

Thank you for everything. The visits, the cards, the calls but most of all the songs and the words you spoke at her (Mama Dot) service. Lonnie and Donna the songs were “over the top” beautiful. The thoughts you shared about Mama Dot and each of us was so comforting. You are in the job you need to be !!!!  We love y’all!

Mark and Patti Musselman

Dear Lonnie & Donna,

Thank you so much for the many things the two of you have done to ease our way on this path. The flowers were so beautiful, for me, they make it easier to feel the love and caring of others. Lonnie, the service far exceeded my expectations. Many people today – including my father – called it the best and most beautiful service they’d ever heard – I agree. Thank you for the blessings!

Love,

Lonnie Hamil is a man due much respect for his accomplishments as a business man, youth minister and outreach minister.

In a personal way he has had a very strong influence and life changing impact on my life.

He has helped me many times when I had medical problems. When I needed help, he has always been there. He has been a source of encouragement and comfort to me and to Sherry, my wife.

His love of the church is ever visible in his life. His dedication to the Lord’s church is and has been shown throughout his life as he has served the Lord.

Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless him.

Sincerely in the Lord,

A.V. Cates
