Donna and I were able to meet Shamie Benton yesterday. Shamie is from Hobbs, NM and is currently in Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. She has multiple health concerns related to her spleen, liver and lungs. She has a blocked artery that needs to be repaired but it can’t be done locally and her medicare was refused in Dallas so they will not operate. Covenant is trying to clear up her pneumonia so they can release her. She will be sent home since she can’t afford treatment.

Regardless of her current situation, she was very sweet and we had a great visit! When Donna and I sang to her, the tears began to flow! She knows that God is in control but is still very concerned about being sent home with her health challenges. Please pray for Shamie and her family!
