Just received this text:

The breathing tube is out!  He’s happy so far.  At this time he has no memory of what happened.    Wade Johnson and his wife were here when he was getting it out.  He saw Wade, and they both teared up.  He said I never thought this would happen to me.  I’ve had a lot of crazy ****, but I’ve never died.  He said this was worse than getting burned.  We haven’t told him about the defibrillator yet.  He’s just keeps shaking his head and staring at us.  Our Thanksgiving arrived in a different form other than turkey & dressing.
