Linda Starnes Morse
May 9, 1945-July 23, 2026
On July 23rd, 2026 Linda went into the arms of Jesus after a brief stay at the Reagan County Care Center in Big Lake,Texas.
Linda was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Sam Starnes and Jewell Starnes (Maxie).
She attended Reagan County Schools and graduated in the class of 1963.
After graduation, she moved to the Dallas area where she met and married Billy Morse on March 17, 1977. Billy passed away in 2018, they shared over 50 years of happiness.
She is survived by her son Derek, the greatest joy of her life. She is also survived by siblings Mae Chick (Jerry), Charles Starnes (Betty), Debra Bolen (Roy), and special sisters-in-law, Cheryl Maxie and Marleen Maxie. Many nieces and nephews as well as special friends Paul and Suzanne Bess.
Preceded in death by husband Billy, father, Sam Starnes, mother, Jewell Maxie and stepdad Arvil. Brothers, Sammy Starnes, David Maxie and Bobby Maxie.
She will be greatly missed.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, compassion, and dignity shown to Linda by the staff at the Reagan County Care Center as well as Ballinger Home Health and Hospice.
