From Kim Hayes on July 27th
WEEKEND UPDATE: It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster weekend but ending on a good note. Today, Steve has been more alert and responsive than he has in the last two weeks. Please continue to pray, there are several issues still needing miraculous touches. Please pray for:
1) Strengthening and healing in lungs
2) Dissolution of multiple blood clots
4) Weaning from ventilator
5) Ridding his body of much excess fluid
6) Healing of mind and body from the injuries and surgeries
7) No fear, no depression, no anxiety but faith, strength and rest
Yesterday I received this text from Kim:
“While the last few days have been incredibly topsy turvy and scary, Steve is doing amazingly well today. Yesterday better than previously and today even better. Still not out of the woods but the doctors are being positive and hopeful. Amazed at how well after a couple of days ago, so uncertain. Steve did have a minor stroke but not exhibiting any signs of stroke. He is more awake and alert than he’s been since the accident. Numbers are good. We continue to pray for total healing, for grace and mercy, strength and rest, peace and patience, and the miraculous.”
I finally got back to Lubbock last evening and was able to make a visit this afternoon. Steve was awake and alert. It was a pleasure to finally meet and talk to him. His lungs are the biggest issue as of now. They need to start weaning him off the ventilator so his lungs will get back to working on their own. Once that happens, he can be transported back to San Angelo for continued therapy and healing.
They are so grateful for all of the prayers and messages you guys have sent! You are champions in my book! Thank you for being Prayer Warriors!
