Kylie was breathing over her ventilator so they decided to adjust the settings.
They were able to adjust her settings all the way down to CPAP! It’s been awhile since they could drop her that low!
Everyone believed that the damage to her lungs from the rejection was too great and that her lungs wouldn’t improve.
BUT GOD!
Now, it could very likely be the large steroid dose that she receives every week. So we will be watching closely to see if her settings needs to go back up the farther out from the steroid dose.
But even with the steroid dose it’s been WEEKS since she has been on Cpap settings!
Wouldn’t it be an absolute miracle that Kylie continues to improve and we can wait on the second lung transplant?!
My God can do it!
On another note, Kylie recently had a probe study done to test for acid reflux. The results came back, abnormal and acid reflux can even cause rejection (not the reason for her current rejection) so we want to fix the issue before it gets too bad. There is a medication that they are going to try, but if that does not work, then there will have to be a small surgery to fix it.
Please, pray that God performs a miracle and Kylie continues to improve!
