From Josh, Ella’s dad:

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” Exodus 14:14

One of the painful side effects Ella has been experiencing the last two weeks with vincristine, doxorubicin, & steroids has been nerve pain. Last night it escalated to the point we had to call the ambulance to help her downstairs. After a little relief from oxycodone, we arrived home this morning at 4 a.m., but then turned when the pain grew intense around at 8 a.m. to see her doc at Arkansas Children’s. (Her doc said the ER should not have let her come home, but that’s another story.)

This afternoon she is being admitted (maybe a night or two) and receiving some relief from morphine, IV fluids, and nausea meds. All in all, we know our Lord has her, but we also know that prayer is a necessary weapon given to us to fight moments of grief, doubt, sickness, protection and frustration. Please join us in battle as we call on Jehovah Jireh over some of these requests:

Ella to get the sleep she needs to rest her body. (“Peace be still.”)

Resistance to whatever may be attacking her body. (“Get behind Me, Satan! You are a cause-of-falling to Me, because you are not thinking the things of God, but the things of humans”.)

No long-term residual effects or changes because of the chemo she has had to put into her body. (“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”)

Whitney (momma ) for mental strength and energy to keep Ella strong as her number one caregiver; she is such an incredible mother . (“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart.”)
