Becky Ann Grupe, age 68, of Eden, TX, passed away battling cancer on January 30th, 2025. She was born into a loving family on January 9th, 1957 in Kermit, TX, to Larue Cleo Woodruff and Woodrow Jackson. Becky was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her spirit, creativity, passion, and love for all animals.
Becky had a passion for gardening, and her garden was a testament to her love of nature. She had a special fondness for growing roses, tomatoes, and banana peppers. She also enjoyed crocheting and creating beautiful handmade pieces. She loved music, especially The Bee Gees. Becky was a movie buff but loved westerns the most. Becky had a soft spot for animals, often bringing stray cats home and tending them with love and devotion. Becky was a proud member of Millersview Baptist Church, where she found a second home and a community she cherished. Her faith and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
In 1998, Becky married Steve Grupe, with whom she shared an enduring partnership. Becky was the proud mother of two daughters, Jennifer Phillips (spouse Stephen Phillips) and Jaime Rainwater (spouse David Mahler). She delighted in her role as a grandmother to her granddaughters, Elora, Aurian, and Janelle, and her grandson, Jason.
Becky will be greeted in heaven by her parents, her brother, Tom Jackson, and her beloved animals. She is survived by her spouse Steven Grupe, daughter Jennifer Phillips, son-in-law Stephen Phillips, daughter Jaime Rainwater, son-in-law David Mahler, brother Wilson Jackson, sister-in-law Dolores Jackson, sister-in-law Phyllis Jackson, nephew Damon Jackson (wife Rochelle and daughter Sidney), and extended family members.
Becky’s warmth, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who loved her.
A service celebrating Becky’s life will be held at the Eden Funeral Home on Monday, February 3rd, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Millersview Baptist Church in her memory.”
