Kaiden has had a pretty good day except a small moment this morning. His heart rate was all over the place suddenly. He runs around 110. But he was jumping to 150-180 then drops to the 80s. They did a neurological test and an EKG. But things looked good. They think he just had an arrhythmia episode. So just watching him but he hasn’t done it again.
Good news, we did a trail and clamped the LA vent that was placed and he has been holding his numbers nicely and they went down a little more on ECMO machine.
This afternoon I got to help give him a bath and we all talked to him and played him music.
So tomorrow might be a big day of closing his chest and switching him to VV. Which is another ECMO machine but only for lung support. I will update in the morning after rounds to see what the plan is.
Prayers tonight for him to remain stable with his numbers, urine output and swelling to decrease. We love you all! Good night!
