Update on Kylie:
Today has been a rough day.
Overnight Kylie slowly started to decline when it comes to breathing. She could not keep her SATs up without max oxygen requirements.
Multiple rapid responses were called.
ICU was back and fourth a lot. Then transplant team. Everyone.
Then this morning Texas got some results back that has them really worried about graft failure which could possibly explain the oxygen requirements.
Then right after talking with them to arrange for us to come down there.
Kylie fell asleep. No big deal. Except she wouldn’t wake up after multiple times of trying to wake her up. I was shaking her trying everything to wake her up. Everything. The doctors and nurses tried.
Kylie wouldn’t wake up! It was terrifying!
Then her breathing became even worse. Her chest tightened up and she couldn’t move air on her own.
She was immediately rushed to Cardiac ICU and placed on a ventilator.
Eventually she began to wake up. Thank You Jesus!
It was so emotional.
Now we have to get Kylie stable before we can transfer to Texas.
They are worried about seizures and neurological issues with her not wanting to wake up.
