Just got this text from Donna Hamil:
“I just finished talking to Linda for about 20 minutes. Amy’s surgeons removed sections of dead large and small intestines. There was a fungus in them that got out into her bloodstream, so now there is that to deal with. She does have some of both intestines left. Her kidneys are struggling. The outlook is not favorable. Linda and Philip are coming to terms with the probability that Amy cannot survive this ordeal. Linda is going home during the day and napping for a couple of hours and home at night for the last 3-4 days. Sleeping well. Friends have come to stay different nights so she feels good about Amy having someone there. It has been 16 days in the hospital. They are at Mercy Hospital on Memorial, but cannot have flowers. Cards can be sent to their home at 1708 Chelsea Dr., Edmond, OK
