Wow, friends!
Thank y’all for helping us hunt down 2″ needles for Ella’s port! We are absolutely blown away by everyone’s support. I am prematurely, but boldly, claiming that I will be able to cancel her surgery very soon, because we have what we need for the next three and a half years. 
I don’t know whose blood she got last week, but it must’ve been someone with super powers. She has more energy this week than she’s had over the last three months combined. It has been the best thing to witness. She’s walking around more on her own. She did a squat yesterday. She said, “well…it wasn’t cheeks to sneaks, but it was pretty close.” Then she tried to jump. She laughed and said, “okay. Not yet on that one.”

One more thing – for those of you looking, Ella needs 2″ Huber Needle Infusion Sets. They are typically 22 gauge, but can also come in 21 or 19 gauge. The needle needs to be a right angle needle if at all possible. The straight ones are hard to put a dressing over. We also really need the needle to be a safety needle to protect the nurses from getting poked when they deaccess her port.
