REJECTION UPDATE
In November we found out that Kylie had antibodies in her body that noticed the lungs were not hers and were beginning to attack the donor’s lungs. Left untreated this leads to rejection of the lungs. So TCH (Texas Children’s Hospital) wanted to begin IVIG treatments. IVIG treatments introduce good antibodies into the bloodstream to stop the path towards rejection.
Are you ready for the part of the story that has left Kylie’s doctor’s scratching their heads?!
The blood that TCH received showed NO antibodies attacking Kylie’s lungs (this blood was taken BEFORE the IVIG treatments)
The transplant team couldn’t believe it, this doesn’t happen. So TCH sent the blood off to a specialist…
We heard back from the specialist this week and the specialist did NOT find ANY antibodies attacking the lungs.
Kylie had her blood tested twice at TCH in November. So we definitely know there were bad antibodies there.
YOU CANNOT TELL ME GOD DOES NOT PERFORM MIRACLES!!
I am completely speechless and in awe of God’s faithfulness. He continues to use Kylie to show He answers prayers!
He answered YOUR prayers for Kylie!!
Thank you all so much for all the prayers! Kylie is here today because of your prayers. There is no doubt in my mind.
They still want to go through with surgery next week to have the port placed.
When we go to Texas next month, they will do more tests to get some answers about the antibodies. They can’t believe that there are no antibodies attacking the lungs anymore.
MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN MODERN DAY MEDICINE!!
Excuse me while I get my praise on!
